harley davidson 1999 flh road king will not start?

filled up with gas, drove home and parked for the night. next day wanted to go for a ride and bike will not start. fuel injected starting procedure is-turn on using console switch, then go to on/off switch on handle bar. turn to on position. in speedometer housing a red 'engine' light will come on for a short period of time, (usually 10 seconds approx) evidently it sets necessary information required by the brain box. after 'engine' red light goes out press the starter and away you go. not me, RED ENGINE light does not turn on. press start and engine turns over with a full charge but nothing happens. does not spark at all. have traced electrical from battery to console switch to ignition fuse, to on/off switch which in turn should go to brain box and set bike up to start, i then press start switch and bike turns over with no spark. need some advice, THANKS
