Hardcore on a downward spiral?

With all the new categories for music I don't know what the hell is what anymore. What makes hardcore hardcore? I honestly don't know. I go by two categories. What I like and what I don't like.
 
Combatwoundedveteran, Orchid, Crossed Out, Unbroken, Bucket Full Of Teeth, Give Up The Ghost... not all strictly "hardcore" but definitely some of my favorites in the neighborhood.

boston hardcore (although blood for blood was kind of streetpunk as well) is slowly making a comeback instead of that scrEMO shit in the west. A few example over here nowhere usa, the welch boys, lost city angels ect ect.

blood for blood has to be the last great hardcore band that I have seen, I just hope they get back together. buddah had a kid recently so it maybe a while.

still, revenge on society and outlaw anthems..brilliant recorRAB.
 
for real, i like your style, blood for blood, madball, sick of it all are the only real hardcore banRAB that most of us west coast fools have been exposed to, but since i listened to them, my taste of music has changed quite a bit, but those are the the 3 bit hardcore banRAB for me, and they fucking rock

but im the best blood for blood was eithe spit my last breathl, or their cover of ace of spades
