Hard stomach...

I'm a male and have had a hard stomach for a while now. Someone went to poke my stomach and that's when I realized my stomach was hard. Now that I touch it, it does feel a bit hard. Anyone know what could be going on?
 
Hi Junior, I know this may sound like an obvious answer but could you be constipated??
Not a very nice subject but I suffer from Diverticulitis (among other things!!) and am often like that, "things" get trapped and hardened, if you follow me but I still "go" what seems like normally!
