G1 Google Phone Hard Reset

If your T-Mobile G1 Google smartphone is not responding or is frozen, you may have to opt for a hard reset. Here

i cant find a sim card with gprs enabled is there another way to activate this phone? I have to unlock code

You must need a sim GPRS Enabled, if you have, then enter your gmail address to activate your G1.

if you fail to do so, contact me in private.

its simple

just press menu button, select new APN, New APN menu will come,

Now enter the information manually.

Name : GrameenPhone [Whatever u like]

APN : gpinternet

leave other option blank.

now enter your Gmail ID.

Thats it.

Hello,

Please dont provide wrong information to users. This is not the right way to get G1 registered with gmail.
The exact settings for GPRS are required to get G1 registered. APN cannot be anything. It has to be from the service provider of the user.

Hello,

You can getting the GPRS settings from website of your service provider. The settings go in as following:
(after to click on add APN, you need to add the following details)

Name:*****(For eg: In case its Vodafone: Vodafone Live! or in case of airtel: airtel Live!)
APN: As mentioned on service provider website
Proxy: IP address provided by service provider (In some case, this may not exist)
Port: Port provided by service provider (In some case, this may not exist)
User Name: This is used for authentication, but this authetication is not used. so leave it as
Password: This is used only if authetication used, normal circumstance leave it
Server: As provided by service provider
MMSC: This is web server link used for MMS setting, but is not required in this process, so leave it as
MMS Proxy: This is IP link used for MMS setting, but is not required in this process, so leave it as
MCC: This Id is automatically configured by the phone from your Sim network. Do not change this.
MNC: This Id is automatically configured by the phone from your Sim network. Do not change this.
APN type: This is usually and in some case se as "default"

To check if these setting are correct, go to menu and save these. Once these are saved the phone will try to connect "E" - for edge, etc on the task bar near the time. If the setting are correct it will connect perfectly with in and out flow arrow in taskbar and once you use your gmail id and password it will get registered.

Mr smart a$$

how many G1 u unlocked ? and activated ?

and 2 G1 in my hand right now

So, be gentle. and stay away from unnecessary comment.

Hello,

THe fact is, whether you call me smart a$$ or i call you Smart pu$$y, even if you have 100 G1's in your hand or any wherever wrong information is always wrong infirmation. For you the setting maybe working because those are your service provider settings. Its never same for everyone.

And anyways you dont need to know whether i have unlocked G1 or not, or I have activated it or not, but all users should know that the thing you said is only useful for your service provider settings.

The user is form my country, so i know very well which settings should work for him. You bloody junior.

Joined few days ago. with 4 post. go to hell.

Hello,

If you wannna suggest me to go to hell, better tell me name of your city, so that I can book my flights to hell. LOL.. And coming to the point, I suggest that you think that your are a born talent, which is quiet wrong. The settings differ from state to state or province to province. Anyways also let me tell you just copying and posting posts or Roms or adding up to post counts doesnt makes you a senior.
