Hard Krome

Do a search here, I seem to recall someone had posted links to some sound
clips.
Danr had several diff. pipe sets on his C50, ask him for his take.
 
I did a search and couldn't find any clips. I am buying the straight short
2 1/2" pipes for my C50. I love the bike but it's just too quiet. I'm hoping for significantly louder but not obnoxious.

I have HK Big Straights 3". I love the sound and get compliments all the time with them!!! That said, my riding style determines if they're obnoxious or not. If I ride hard light to light in a quiet neighborhood, I guarantee evil looks. So in town I have to granny shift and baby it and I'm all good. Out in the country where I ride most, its all fair game.
 
The guy who sold me my bike put the 3" on his c90 and wow! Actually sounded louder than a Harley. I would like to find something inbetween the decible range.
 
the inside diameter on the hk 2.5" and the 3" are the same at 1.75". Their tone may be different because of the different pipe lengths but just as loud i would assume.

Look for thread called jets,injectors,pipes, there is a sticky there with videos complete with sound.

Forgot to answer....they sound good....but not great. Then again..there are no baffles in them. I'm thinking of getting a couple TM baffles fabbed and seeing if it improves the sound.

My wife's bike performs okay...but pipes alone on the S50/VS800 and you won't get much improvement. You'll need to rejet & get K&N filters & open up the air boxes a bit to get a significant boost in performance.
