I said it on Twitter, but Happy Anniversary/Birthday to one of animation's most influential characters ever. I just wished I had some Bugs Bunny cartoons on DVD just so I could have celebrated it better.
I was five and I still remember it. Mainly because I collected the hollographic cards that came in the honey nut cheerios boxes. I have no idea what happened to them, I wonder if they are worth anything now.
I know. It's sad that Bugs hasn't been in the spotlight as much lately. (Even Mickey Mouse got nothing for his 80th birthday recently.) Hopefully, this new 'Looney Tunes Show' will help fix this.
Anyway, Jeff Harris had a great article on Bugs Bunny, and his impact on pop culture.
Happy birthday you wascaly wabbit! (did I spell that right, is there any proper spelling at all?) Just don't let there be another Birthday Blowout video game or AVGN will go insane!:anime:
How appropriate, since after years of complaining that the great toons I grew up with aren't on TV anymore I've finally started buying DVDs of them: just finished the first LT Golden Collection and the second is in the mail.
Can't believe I missed it, but, Happy (belated) Birthday to my favorite cartoon character of all time.
Hadn't heard of this new The Looney Tunes Show until just recently during ComicCon, but it looks pretty promising from the video I saw. Can't wait to check it out.
