Hands on with the iphone, maybe it is overhyped a wee bit...

Eh, we'll see. Realistically I'm not buying one without a real keypad, I'm not a fan of touch screen interfaces on devices I like to operate without looking at, for obvious reasons. Maybe a version down the road will come out that i'll be interested in, but for now I'll stick with SE products.

WHat I'd really like to see come from over there would be something between the fucking Mac Mini and Mac Pro, without a built in display.

it's a very good implementation. i believe it's going to be marginalized but even so, it offers a very very good user experience for those that buy it. people piss and moan but at the end of the day why does it matter? it's just a computer company that makes gadgets. there's a lot more important shit to quibble over on the interwebs.

A good implementation it might be, but that just makes it a good implementation of a questionable idea.

Personally I'd rather have seen them fixing the plethora of stupid issues with OS X rather than making a phone, or making a small non-lame notebook, or making a midtower machine. But that's just me, and I'm nothing if not cynical

i think all comes in due time. the company just isn't growing for some odd reason and everyone's just so busy juggling 2 or 3 things. although a lot of people have just been moved off campus to make room but hiring has been slow for past 2 quarters.
