Handling of newer (08-10) Ford Focuses in the winter?

My parents and I are looking at a 2010 Ford Focus and are curious on how they handle in rain and snow. We would also like to know what kind (if any) issues there have been with this model in the past couple of years. In case it matters, SEL is the trim package we are looking at.
