I bought my first "big" lens. Sigma 70-200mm 2.8 without any vibration reduction technology. Can i still shoot with this handheld? This is a fairly new technology so i assume people have been shooting without VR in the past and getting good steady images? I like shooting environmental candid portraits, hence the distance so the subjects forget i'm there.
