Hancock - Will Smith

Ive seen the trailer for this and it looks brilliant. He is basically a super-hero who seems to get things wrong. It looks really funny with plenty of action as well. Its about time Will did another comedy. His last attempt, Hitch, was a bit of a let down.

The only really interesting thing about this is apparently they've had 4 attempts to get a PG13 out of the mpaa, and each time the mpaa's rated it R. The eventual PG13 cut will probably be about 5 minutes long!

Apparently they cut a rape scene and the advertisements for this film are friendlier than it really is.

I saw a advert for it when i went to see Iron Man and it seemed ok and definitly looked like a 12 rated film.

Ill see it because im a big Will Smith fan and it had a few funny bits in the advert, as for Hitch i thought that was a brilliant film.

This movie is trash.
He portrayed a drunk, "superhero" and wanna be un-ex lover.
The story line is bad to say the least and then it takes a very predictable twist...
Waste of an hour and a half.

i enjoyed it. beginning is comedy but it gets really dark at the end and sad. not Will's greatest but a good film 7/10.

this was the worst film i have ever seen no story the only funny bits in the trailers if this is the best will smith can come up with go back to the music!!

I went to go see this yesterday as all the seats for The Dark Knight were booked up. The beginning of the film was mildy amusing but it started to go downhill once the film took on a more 'serious' tone.

I really enjoyed this film. I did think the ending was a bit far fetched but i was really sad that he couldn't be with the other superhero. I'm a bit of a softy so wanted them to be together. :)

I thought that the film was watchable, but definitely the worst of Will Smiths' films (not including Wild Wild West) - I'd recommend waiting to see it on DVD/TV

Maybe it didn't make enough cash to warrant a further week in the cinemas.

I haven't seen it yet, but I've heard it's better than Jumper. If I were to get one, which should I get? Jumper or Hancock:confused:

I don't know why people have been hating on this film so much, I finally watched it today and quite enjoyed it! I think it makes the transition from comedy to serious quite nicely... I think it's partly that the trailers made it out to be a comedy and that's only really the first 45 minutes or so. I definitely didn't think it was as bad as all the reviews I've read made it out to be- but each to their own I guess!

Jumper was rubbish. Please don't try and tell me it was good anybody.

Hancock was actually quite good. Especially the PR guy. Bateman is it?

What? I know we all have our personal tastes, but for crying out loud, how can you say this is better than TDK!!! OK, TDK was not without its flaws, but overall, a rare quality film. Hancock on the other hand, started OKish, a good premise, and enjoyable beginning, but then it got totally bad. without spoiling it for anyone, when we were informed of the connection between hancock and the woman, the film died in it's own sh**ty quagmire. A truly BAD film.
