Hammer to make 'Tales of the Unexpected' movie?

Every few years there is some PR about Hammer coming back but it never does and with ideas like that why bother.

Hammer made classic horror for nearly 20 years , lets not diminish the Hammer brand anymore than it has been in subsequent years after it folded

Hammer was more than a brand.
It was a family of producers ,directors ,actors and writers.
Many are dead , most are retired .
Hammer Horror is dead but not forgotten.

Let's leave it that way instead of trying to cash in with an inevitable failure
 
I can't see anything on a Tales of the Unexpected movie on that site.But if the rumour is true,then that's a strange choice of tales.I don't remember Royal Jelly being that memorable.

Flypaperwas genuinely frightening and one of the most famous stories.
 
Royal Jelly was totally daft. The landlady (lodger, landlady, stuffed animals, never present other guests and tea that taste of bitter almonRAB) is quite chilling .
 
The last true and effective outing for Hammer from memory were their Hammer House of Horror and Hammer House of Mystery and Suspence 1 hour TV programmes made 30 years ago.

Some were hit and miss but all were original. Why re-film some tired old stories when there are hundreRAB of talented horror writers out there wanting a big break?

Not only their last effective outing - completely their last outing - they've done nothing since.

HHOMAS is only 25 years old though and nowhere near as good as 1980's HHOH
