Halo Lovers.. explain to me why halo is any better than...

Lots of shit missing in H2 if you ask me. One hit kills, rocket maps online, I liked the maps on 1 better, etc. H2 is still ok, but I'd still rather play the first one.
 
I never played the original Halo and I actually went out and demoed Halo2 when it came out and I just didn't enjoy it at all. I don't know what it was but nothing about it caught my attention. Maybe I had my hopes set too high based on all the "Halo greatest game ever" talk. Whatever it was I am pretty sure that I won't be buying Halo3.
 
I think halo 2 is a great game honestly, better than Halo 1. I mean it's essentially like halo 1 but a lot more balanced, I always found it super annoying getting killed across the map by a stupid fucking secondary weapon. I also found it annoying as shit that people ONLY use the pistol. Versus now in halo 2 there's more variety at the very least, and besides Halo 2 is more streamlined making it a more fast enjoyable experience for everyone.
