Not seen the new ending but you don't really believe this is the last of the Halloween movies,do you?
All that will happen is the next will get back to the more usual Halloween format of Michael being a supernatural force again.
New characters will be introduced and so on.
Forget what the Weinstein's say,these are the 2 that green lit a further 4 Hellraiser sequels.Also the Akkad family own the rights and would find another studio to work with if Dimension were not interested (which they will be).
The reality is they will be another 2 cinema release Halloweens at least then multiple direct to video ones.

I really enjoyed this one, it was great to see Michael as a kid and get a real explanation of what caused his anger and what led to his psychopathic rage. It was also good to see that he wasn't interested in just going and killing his baby sister (which I never could understand before) and we don't actually know what he had in mind (till she P'd him off at one point).
It's tough to beat an original, but Rob Zombie did a pretty good job here, he gave a real insight into Michael Myers where as the original didn't really provide a background into Michael or any explanation.
