To create additional scenes to fill the the movies 2hr film slot. John carpenter commenced a 3 day reshoot during the production of halloween 2 using Jamie Lee curtis and donald pleasence. This footage was then added to the original feature. This version is never shown on TV in the uk but is available on anchor bay dvd. worth checking out. especially the scenes with Dr Loomis at smiths grove sanitarium with the young Michael Myers

Halloween 6 has the the theatrical version and the infamous producers cut. The thatrical version is bollocks but widely available The Producers cut has over 43 mionutes of alternative footage. This has never been commercially released or shown on tv. The producers cut is fantastic and is more close to the feel of the original Halloween. bootlegs can be found on ebay from time to time. its worth checking out if your a fan.
Halloween H20 has an alternative tv cut with minor edits for violence. A s4econd version exists only as a workprint and is titled halloween the revenge of laurie stoud. This has never been released and never will it was just an early cut of the film with a few changes. Hard to come by even on bootleg.
Halloween Resurection has an alternative version called halloween homecoming. This has a different start and a different ending. and contains a few extra scenes. Apart from the opening scene the extras and deleted scenes and ending can be found on the special features of halloweenn resurrection dvd. Homecoming also features Tyra banks death scene which is missing from the theatrical version
