Halloween Movie ideas

Okay guys and girls, help me out here.

As part of Halloween week at my library anime club, we were going to show the Death Note live-action movies. Unfortunately, Viz was asking for too much money for it to be shown in a public setting (live-action movies are a little more difficult than anime/movies) so can I have some ideas of stuff that I could show to a 8th grade and older audience?

I'm already showing Blood: The Last Vampire but does anybody else have any ideas (not too bloody or anything) I mean, I could bring a lot of stuff but some of it is....well...you know how Japan gets.

I believe he said "8th grade and older" audience. You'd have a tough time getting approval for letting 8th graders watch any of those. Vampire Hunter D Bloodlust is rated R, which would mean getting parental permission slips. The others aren't MPAA rated, but are pretty comparable if not more extreme in terms of content.

I can't think of much for that age group besides maybe one or two of the scarier episodes of Cowboy Bebop (Pierrot Le Fou, Sympathy for the Devil). If your club is okay with showing stuff that's not "official" yet, there's always Soul Eater, but considering you actually took the trouble to ask Viz for permission for a public airing, it sounRAB like you're trying to do this on the 100% up-and-up. I guess something like Bleach or Yu Yu Hakusho technically involves ghosts, but they're not very Halloween-y.

Honestly, you might want to consider just taking a break from anime for the night and showing Nightmare Before Christmas or some old Batman: The Animated Series episodes or some Treehouse of Horror or something instead.

This.

Other than that.....um....perhaps the Yu Yu Hakusho movie? (not the short mini-movie thing, the other one) I dunno if that's "Halloween-y" enough though.

Actually, if your club has a lot of time, you might try checking out Karas. Very interesting dark supernatural world, although you'll sit there scratching your head and WTF'ing constantly for the first hour or so before things start to make sense.

Plus, it has a dude in armor who transforms into a racecar and a fighter jet.
