are on over the weekend..:D

I like the 3rd one,,with the masks and snakes and stuff coming out of them..I set the recorder for that one:D, scary gruesome stuff..lol...And it enRAB with the father yelling down the phone , telling his kiRAB to take the masks off before midnight.

Looking forward to watching Halloween 1 & 2 tonight, and 3 tomorrow.

3 is a good'un despite getting one hell of a fan backlash.

the orignal halloween is one of the only flims to ever scare me, im watching it now for the first time in about 4-5 years, and iv got to say im actually quite bored with it, it seems to have lost it magic :(

maybe it neeRAB a zombie :D;)

no i love the bit where lomis is chasing the guy he thinks is myers but yet hes carrying a sweet bag then the copper runs him over haha.

gotta love the slasher films eh

Halloween 3 has a major advantage over most horror films including the other Halloweens, because

the obnoxious little American child dies horribly instead of becoming the hero of the film!

I'm no fan of pointless remakes, but Halloween:Season of the Witch could actually make a decent horror movie.

It started off ok,but fell to pieces due to gratuitous pure 80's nastiness, poor effects and an incoherent storyline. That silver shamrock tune is legendarily catchy though.

well it was Carpenter's big plan to make the next couple of Halloween films after #3 to all be independent storylines - and make a series of different horror films.

but i think it was the producer/dolly grip or someone in charge, Akahah Muoohammma (?) forgot his name now, who wanted Micheal back for #4.

i quite liked 4, 5 and 6. and H20 is very good.

they erased the storylines brought up in 4,5 and 6 for H20 - but apparently the continuity can be joined. Apparently H8 disputes that guessed continuity. thought Halloween Res was just awful anyway.

would have bought the boxset by now - but it dont have #6 and i dont know why. different company made it?

I watched no.3 with my Nan and Aunt when they babysat me when I was a kid- was so scared when the kid's mask melted that I believe I soiled myself! :D

Last night was the first time I've seen it since and it's not aged that badly.

I watched it last night, and that Silver Shamrock rhyme is stuck in my head :D

I thought it was cut when the women got zapped in the hotel room?

Also was that "Cochrane" bloke in Robocop?

It can, just about. If memory serves me right in the opening credits of H20 there is a newspaper article that refers to Laurie's and son's 'deaths' in a car crash that is mentioned in Halloween 4 or 5 (though I don't think those films mention a son also dying). But there is no mention in H20 of the daughter Jamie and it also makes it very clear Michael hasn't been active since 1978.

I haven't watched Resurrection (for obvious reasons :D) apart from the first 10 minutes, so not sure how that film refutes any established continuity.

As for Halloween 3, I don't mind it as a creepy movie but it always bugs me that they acknowledge the original Michael Myers film as existing as a 'film' rather than real events that happened. I wonder what the franchise would have been like if they had followed Carpenter's idea of having a series of unrelated movies. Its sort of what they did with the Howling franchise after the first two films, and most of those were awful. :D

I'm glad they did bring Michael back for H4, though I never quite got how they skipped over him having his eyes shot out at the end of H2. But then continuity was never great. I think in Halloween 5 we see his face unmasked when he is in the old man's cabin, yet his face has no burn scars. Not bad going for a guy whose face was burning at the end of H2. :D
