Halloween films being shown on the BBC - IDIOTIC scheduling!

At least they're putting the original on! I was looking through the schedule earlier and all I could find was tonight's 2 Halloween films - Halloween Resurrection & Halloween 2 (2009) and I thought "WTF, they're playing the worst two Halloween films that were made".

I know, I don't understand it either. Maybe they think the newer film with the kung-fu, hip-hop gangsta popper is more appealing to da youth dem and stuck in a prime slot; whilst the original masterpiece is shunted in fear that it won't hold as much appeal?

No idea!

Season of the Witch...

"8 more days 'tll halloween, halloween, halloween
8 more days 'til halloween, Silver Shamrock"

??

I have no idea, I don't think so though. I don't think I've ever seen that Halloween on TV before to be honest.

Fortunately all the Halloween movies have been available at various times for peanuts on dvd so I've bought them all over the years.
Halloween on Bluray is under

It's a good horror in its own right, the bit where they schedule a "test" with the masks and the lad's head is vaporised and turned into creepy crawlies!

I've seen it on cable, but not terrestrial channels.

Doesn't the majority have BBC4 now(or am I wrong)? I don't see what there is to get so worked up about. The terrible Resurrection is on a day that doesn't matter, the original film is on a day that matters, Halloween. :)

Sure, but regardless of what is being broadcast, digital channels receive a much lower audience share.

My point is, the film being shown tonight 'Resurrection', spoils the original film entirely if someone were to watch them in the order they're being broadcast. Maybe I'm a tad touchy on this subject, I just think it's a great film and the scheduling sucks donkey balls. :)

yeah im watching resurrection atm. i didn't think it was that bad a film but understand why people hated it. i think that the original Halloween should be given the pimpslot on bbc1 ! and in hd !. it is the most epic film of all time.
