Halloween 3D !! OUT 2010!

I think you missed my point. I said nothing regarding how well things do at the box office. My point was that Americans treat Halloween like it is bigger than Christmas, but dont seem to know exactly when Halloween is. Here we are, we treat it as just another day and we know exactly when it is.

I personally didn't like the Rob Zombie remake of the original Halloween. I just thought the reason behind why Michael Myers turned out to be the psycho killer he is well known for, was wasted and a bit unbelivable.

Where did you hear this? I kind of doubt that it's another remake. If anything it'll just be a slasher film without any connections to Zombies films except for including Michael Myers, similar to the way that Halloween 4 featured all new characters apart from Loomis.

You could be right but I'm a bit more sceptical.
It looks like it's going to do roughly half the worldwide total that Halloween 2007 did (80 million).

Now the cinema takes just over half the takings, and advertising & promotional costs (worldwide) must surely double the filming budget. This would mean it nearly recoups it's total budget that way and make a profit through home video sales/tv rights.

But it's still risky doing another one that isn't direct to video.
