Saw this movie a few days ago and i really enjoyed it,theres some really creepy camera shots and some very weird images going on inside michaels head,i really liked the remake of Halloween and was looking forward 2 this one even more, this movie is getting bashed 2 death on imdb.com and it doesnt deserve it.its no masterpiece but its deffo worth a watch just 2 see what happens.

I think Halloween 2 premieres in October here in the UK, but not 100% sure of that.

I didn't like Rob Zombie's re-make of the original Halloween. John Carpenter's version was far better and scarier. I've not seen Zombie's version in a while though, so will probably give it another watch I think before Halloween 2 comes out.

Halloween Resurrestion was a complete waste of time though.

The only decent scenes were at the beginning when Laurie confronted Michael in the mental ward and was killed. The rest was just pathetic. I actually have it on DVD and haven't watched it the whole way through yet. I couldn't be bothered after Laurie was killed.

H20 is a good film in its own right but it never felt like a Halloween film to me. If anything it's more like Scream.

I haven't heard much praise for Halloween III. The common consensus for the Halloween sequels seems to be:
2, 4, H20 - good
3, 5, 6, Resurrection - bad

My personal opinion:
2, the first fifteen minutes of Resurrection - good
H20 - good as a standalone, bad as a Halloween sequel
4/5 (I never could tell those two apart) - average, standard slasher fare, Danielle Harris makes them somewhat worth watching though
3 - strange
6 - rubbish
The Dangertainment part of Resurrection - meh

I just never understood Halloween III. It was so bad and cheaply made that it made me cringe.

I do love H20 though. It's nice to see what happened to Laurie all these years. Her nightmares, alcoholism and her fear all come to a dramatic conclusion towarRAB the end.

Resurrection: Don't get me started. Once the first 15 mins were over I just lost interest. The film was full of models who couldn't act their way out of a paper bag, even if they were hyperventelating!

i cant wait to see it, im wondering if it will be realsed over here now due to the bad reviews, surely it can be that bad? im a huge rob zombie fan so im sure i will like it no mater what lol, but some of the reviews have been brutal, i liked his first one, it was compleatly different from the orignal which is what made it good, so i have no reason to think this one will be any different

Has anyone seen the ABC TV version of Halloween?

I got it on sale in a two disc version.

Basically, it just has a very long scene with Loomis trying to convince a verdict that Michael wasn't fit to be released and then it had an extra scene after Laurie walked home from school, took a shower and was seen in a pink robe with her hair in a towel and making a phonecall to Annie, who begs to borrow Laurie's dress for Halloween night.

I've heard of it but never seen it. There's also a TV version of Halloween II (which I've also never seen) which is apparently completely different to the normal version, more in line with what director Rick Rosenthal wanted the film to be like before John Carpenter reshot loaRAB of scenes.

The scenes were useless to be honest :)

As for the Halloween II - There are two different endings. The one I have is Laurie and Jimmy driving away in the ambulance and Laurie saying "We made it"!

I have that version 2,the scenes are pretty good, the one where loomis is in front of the board is the best,i also liked the feel of part 4,there was some creepy camera shots at the start, the new movie is good, the ending is a bit crappy though,i really didnt like it,theres a nice tribute 2 the original halloween 2 with the hospital scenes,i also enjoyed seeing michael fend for himself in the wilderness, eating dogs n such along the way lol

I'm not sure the original Halloween 2 is that great in all honesty. It's basically a cash in on the slasher craze that the original started!

There is not much in the way of suspense or storytelling (except for a few good scenes) and is merely 60 minutes of graphic murders - like nearly every Halloween clone. The movie looks fairly cheap, the music too and the performances seem much more phoned in than the original. It does build to a tense finale but the big twist is quite laughable, coming off the back of The Empire Strikes Back.
