Is this an actual original follow on to the Halloween remake, or is it a remake of Halloween 2 with the hospital and stuff?

I get the impression Halloween 2 (Original) is pretty hated by most people, but personally I loved it.

It's a follow on from the remake, not a remake of the original sequel.

I thought it's Halloween III, and Resurrection that are hated.

can we just call it Halloween 2..why is it that there's a need to shotrten everything ..H2..I would overlook and wouldn't know it was a halloween film

For the original Halloween 2 I know director John Carpenter refused point blank to direct the film and originally didn't want to write the screenplay until he was offered a lump sum. Carpenter said in an interview once 'Halloween 2 never harmed the original' but he went onto say he regretted writing the story for it.
But back to Zombie's Halloween 2, I think the Halloween series is awful in the hanRAB of Zombie I honestly think so. The first Halloween started off ok but quickly turned rubbish after the first 30 mins or so. I hope for Halloween 2 Rob Zombie has created a whole new story instead of remaking the original because Halloween 2 is nowhere as iconic as the first one. Zombie's Halloween 2 ideally neeRAB a new story. I hope so anyway.
