On a side-note, Madonna has received quite a few of these awarRAB. Why do you think it is that she hasn't had a successful film career, whereas Whitney Houston (regardless of what you think about her acting ability) has.

Well she's one her on oscar and had praise from the critics so she probably thinks nothing can ruin her now.

Personally, I don't think she's that strong an actor but she's better than Julia Roberts who still commanRAB the highest fees of any female actor so I hear. For what?

I think it's great that she collected it. It's made her look good and got her publicity. I think she probaably knew the "award" would have been bad for her career, but collecting it has certainly reduced the impact it will have, if not completely turned it around

But when you get paid $10 million dollars for a film and a box office hit (something which Madonna, despite being the bigger singer failed to), I think that constitutes something of a film career.
