Hairspray The Movie

all the reviews that ive read compairing both movies said that the only thing thats the same is the plot !! cause this movie is based on the broadway version which had been adapted to become a musical !! ive never seen the other film version but i don't think i want to as i love this version soooo much !!
 
I watched it yesterday and it was very good. The storyline was very thin but the fun songs and characters made up for it. The songs are really catchy and the whole audience was tapping along. Everybody started clapping at the end :p

It had a few too many songs, but the lead, Tracey, is very cute and adorable.

John Travolta and Christopher Walken were fantastic as her parents are such a cute couple. By far the best characters :D

It was alot of fun.

i like all of the songs though, its really hard just to pick one of them!!
 
Just came from seeing this movie, it was great - everyone was excellent, Nikki as Tracy is fantastic, and i have always like James Marsden so seeing him as Corny Collins was great, i didnt know he could sing, he's got a great voice :D

Got my soundtrack on saturday, but hadnt listened to it yet, as i wanted to see the movie and now i have :D
 
I did like this film but did anyone feel there was just a bit too much Travolta? He was good but by the end I was like 'Oh no him again...' I just feel they overkilled the novelty.

Lots of Zak fans with us, clearly, but also younger kiRAB and two grey haired old ladies in front of us who seemed who thoroughly enjoyed i too.
 
I've Seen it twice now.A great feel good movie,the whole cast were brill but Nikki,Zac and Michelle stole the film for me.When is the DVD Coming out,i'm deffo buying it!
