I was watching the Shimmy and Shake dvd extras and was really amazed by all the love that went into this movie. If enough of the cast comes back and there is a good script, I think that the sequel has the potiential to be a brilliant movie if done right. I'm really excited to find out more. :pinkie:
 
Yay! A Hairspray thread! Hands down my favorite movie. I loved it. The performances were fantastic. I can never get sick of this movie!
 
Oh, I can't wait to have the dvd!!!! Everytime I hear the soundtrack I feel happier!!
 
i watched it with my friend last night...we talked about how we wish we could find guys like Link or Seaweed..lol like seriously, where are men like that?? i want one so bad lol

I didn't even know this thread was here! This is my favorite movie, I can watch it over and over and not get tired of it. All the perfomances are brillant and its hysterically funny. :love: it.

just got done watching it. I still have to make my way through the special features disc, only got through part of that. I wanted to buy the special edition soundtrack but even with that discount i mentioned, it was out of my budget, so that has to wait until later lol
 
Yeah, I wonder how they're gonna make it work this time around with Corny's already integrated. Maybe have Penny's mom still disapproving of Penny's relationship with Seaweed without being redundant.

But if the whole cast (though I can live without Michelle Pfieffer and Brittany Snow since their arc is complete) is back, I'll watch it regardless. :lol:

Since everyone is talking about Nikki I thought it would be appropriete to post this interview that the lovely Sasha found and Bev was kind enough to put on YouTube. Its mainly about Nikki's new movie Harold, but it does mention Hairspray. She also talks a little about have some new movies and a tv show in the works, and also recording her album in her downtime.
