I wish that was true. But well it's better in a fairytail but men of the 60s and those times were so nice. Today not so much.

So this Sunday on 7/20 is the year Anniversary that Hairspray came out. It seems like yesterday :sigh: So we're having a viewing party on the Zac Efron Board in the Trink Thread:

I got my special edition one on Tues!! I saw it that night with a girl on my floor and we both squeed SO much.
 
I bought this movie because I'm a big fan of Grease and West Side Story and just good musicals in general. I watched it once and was hooked! I went out and purchased the soundtrack too. Such great dance numbers, and the songs are so infectious. And being a James Marsden fan, it made the movie doubley enjoyable for me. :)
 
WildatHeart, haha. It's okay if ur neck hurts--it is worth it to watch it! This movie is wonderful.

I like Run and Tell That, Little Inez kicked ass! And at the end when Seaweed kissed his fingers and placed them upon Penny's mouth. :)

For any of you who are interested a lot of us fans of Hairspray have gotten together and made a petition to try and get Newline Cinema to release a DVD of the Table Read in it's entirety and any/all BTS footage they might have cause you know there must be hours of it. So anyone who wants more HS footage please sign the petition:

Finally saw it!.,..and i'm watching it for a third time right now lol


my campus showed it 3 times this weekend..once yesterday and twice tonight

in all 3, there were a bunch of ppl, usually the movies shown on campus aren't this crowded...the first two showing, everyone had so much fun and was so involved and everyone in the audience applauded at the end of the first two showings. And i bet everyone applauds when this showing is over...right now , it's the start of Run and Tell That

lol i'm like tpying on a computer and trying to watch a movie..my neck hurts haha..the comptuers in here are positioned at the wrong angel for the movie screen....haha my neck is hurting so bad haha

I couldn't believe that Hairspray got totally snubbed

I wasn't expecting any in the major catergories

but the costumes were beautiful.

and Come So Far not getting the nom. for best song was very upsetting to me. I love that song.

like I'm happy for Enchanted but I don't think Happy Working Song should have gotten in....or that song from August Rush.

and the SAG awards on on sunday...my fingers are crossed for HS there. :nod:
 
ICA, this was such an amazing movie. Nikki did such an amazing job for her first film ever and leading a cast of legends like that, but still managing to stand out and shine. She was truly perfect for the part.


I think Michelle said it best, they're so lucky they found her. :love:

John Travolta was really great in this movie. Did much better at playing a woman than I expected him to :nod:
