Hair colored with unfortunate purple tint?

Several days back i decided to go from two tone to all blonde and the salon. Long story short, the brown came out orange and my hair dresser said it 'looked good' untl i stepped out of the salon i didnt realize how horrid it was. I called and she said she cant get me in for a few weeks and to try a toner. Problem is, my prom is in two days.
After bleaching and a toner that failed, i picked up some ion high lift color is ash blonde, which did wonders for the orange and yellow tones as far as i can see while its currently wet.
However, there are some purple tones in my hair from the dye, and i was hoping to know if thatll fade over a few washes or not?
Please help!

Ah, yeah! The dreaded purple! Know it well!

Try putting a little shampoo in your DRY hair, leave it on for about 15-20 minutes under a plastic cap or bag, then rinse. A lot of it will be gone. Condition well. If you want to lift a little more purple, mix the shampoo with a little 20 volume cream developer and apply again to dry hair.

Often, just the shampoo mixed equally with the developer and applied to dry hair will lift the color to a more blonde tone.

I think the purple was put in the hair dye to counter the brassiness of the orange and yellow,(to keep your hair from turning red)(which is what your hairdresser should have used) but it shouldn't have left any purple on your hair. Gosh! I can't believe your hairdresser is going to leave you like that for your prom. I would have had you right back in there to correct it..... well, actually, I wouldn't have let you leave like that in the first place. You said your hair was still was still wet, did the purple go away since its dried??? Feel free to contact me if you would like [email protected]. I will try to help as best as I can. Good Luck!
