I'm going to get a haircut soon. I was wondering if anyone had some advice. I'm a guy with dry, thick (especially in the back) curly hair. I think it was dry since I used to use some heated products (straighteners and hairdryers) but I plan on avoiding them with this next cut. They are tight in some areas and hardly there in others. Last time I got it cut it was thinned by the hair dresser. But it seems like that has come back to bite me as I know have layers of hair of different lengths and it makes it look frizzy. What would be a good haircut for me? My hair also seems to grow more in the back, well maybe its just so much thicker that it looks like that.
Should I get it shorter in the back and sides (not dramatically) than the top? Are there any good, but not too expensive hair products for curly/frizzy hair?
As much as I appreciate a good afro...seems like I'm heading that way

Pics are good too.
