Aww, I'm so sorry you're having such a lousy summer! Mine is okay. My MIL is my biggest trial. Taking care of her does put quite a strain on my back! I'm very careful, but it's still painful. I never let her rest herself on my arm. She hurt me purposely in the past doing that! Yes, you read that right. She did it on purpose! So I don't risk that she may do it again. My son is at Marine boot camp and still has pneumonia, which is not that uncommon among the recruits, but he feels sick and is very bored and itching to get back into training. I write to him every single day, as he requested. That's the kid who hasn't needed us since he was 14! Boot camp was worth it to me just to hear him saying "Mom, I really really really really love you" when he was allowed a one minute conversation to tell us he was sick. Made my day, week, month, and year! Summers aren't like they used to be, full of activity and traveling, but that's okay. I'm happy to be at home and to keep my pain to a manageable level. I have a pretty good system with MIL, using motion detectors and stuff so I can lay down when I need to. I always know if she's on the move! I count my blessings regularly. Recounts encouraged!
