My wife and I had over a family from India. They are very nice and we like them. But sometimes I see that we have different ideas because of how we were raised. After dinner while my wife and our guests talked at the dinner table I started to clean up the kitchen while talking and participating in the conversation. All of a sudden the father says its time to go and withing 2 minutes they where gone. I was wondering if cleaning the kitchen is a sign for them to leave in India. Or something else I have no clue about but should know.

well I think it was a bit ignorant of them. I'm pleased you showed them your way.

He probably thought he was going to be made to help clean up. Plus, it's not good to let one's wife see that the man in another family is doing the clean up, because she might get ideas!

(Actually, I don't know the answer to your question. The behavior seems strange.)

mmm...i think you may have to ask them if anything you did offended them...or maybe he really wanted to catch Eastenders.
