Okay, so I had a urine culture done by my doctors office to do a routine check for Std's and pregnancy. My doctor is out of the office today, and the nursing staff called to tell me that my urine culture showed no bacterial growth. Does that mean that no std's were present in my urine? They said there was a little blood, and a little bacteria in my urine, but that could have been b/c of contamination. Also, I was on my period, so I am guessing thats why a little blood was present. Like I said, my doctor isn't in today, so I don't really know what "no bacterial growth" means... Can anyone help me out??
Thanks1
I asked the nurse if she could be more detailed and tell me if an std test was done, she said she didn't know. I am pretty sure that on the paper I took over, my doctor called for a Urine Culture, and a urinalysis and a hcg to be done.
