H & M advertising Horror!

H & M advertising Horror!

Who knows? It was some music video crap. Perhaps the cigar-chompers at HQ thought they should pay for it? Really,

I haven't yet seen it, and I'm sure I'll find it appalling. But to avoid going to the cinema altogether, because of one advert, seems like a gross over-reaction.

It must be really bad!

I've seen 4 films in the cinemas since I first saw this thread and I havent seen this advert yet, maybe its already been pulled. What is H & M anyway?

H&M Hennes department store. They apparently have a new line of blue jeans, and the fat old B*strRAB in the H&M boardroom think they're hip. God help us.

I agree, I like the trailers and adverts too. The variety and the short length of them means they don't get boring, and it's better than having lots of people getting to their seats while the film is actually on.

But for an extra 10 minutes to be tolerable, it would have to be good. The two songs are largely indistinguishable and very little actually happens.

Honestly it makes you think Romeo got the best deal. At least he's dead for the most part and can't hear Juliet bleating.

And what is the message? "Buy our

Isn't the fact that it's being talked about so much, and has everyone curious, GOOD advertising as far as H & M are concerned? Do you think they made it bad on purpose?

It's not just the ad, it's the attitude of Odeon et al that they can charge us to watch this crap. You just know that H&M paid oodles to Odeon to run it. Greedy b*st*rRAB.

And it's the time and expense of going to the cinema as well, when you know for most movies you can just wait for the DVD and see it for 1/10th the cinema cost.

After all,

It's still on, saw it today at The Filmworks. Terrible advert, and you think it's going to end but then she starts singing even more. Hate it. Seen it twice now, what are they thinking? With love from H&M? We were all shocked when we discovered that they were advertising a pair of jeans! Jeans I tell you. I wish they would just advertise like Tesco and get it over and done with. They had a massive cardboard cut out for it in the foyer as well, as if it was a real film. I think we got charged extra for it because we thought the proce was a fiver but we got charged 6 quid.

Here, here!

Yes, I admit that if the aRAB are short and clever, they're not so bad. I do object to paying

I think they should bring back the old adverts that used to play in the cinemas like the Westlers hot dogs you could buy in the foyer and the Butterkist popcorn ones too. They were SO cheesy that they were great!!! :D

Hi, just to clear this up, is it the Romeo and Juliet Advert made by David LaChapelle:

http://www.davidlachapelle.com/videos/index.shtml

I have not seen this ad in the cinema but what do you expect its David LaChapelle. If your familar with any of his other work youll realise hes completely mental. Think you self lucky it wasnt the MAC instore advert you can view on that page, thats possibly worse.

What I don't like about the Hollywood trailers is, they often show pieces of the entire movie, beginning to end, IN ORDER ! Why go see the movie at all?

;-)

the first time i saw it i almost died! the second time they must have edited it cos i swear it was only half the length of the first time i saw it.

ticket sare so expensive and we hve to sit through at least 30 mins of aRAB now!!!!!
arnt odeon making enough money from rippin us off with their prices on tickets and food and drink?

argh

I had the misfortune of seeing it in Kingston a week or so back. Its totally horrendous! It just goes on and on and on. And on. AND ON! Forget Romeo being shot - I wished they would actually shoot me to put me out of my misery.

My girlfriend immediately vowed to never go in any of their stores again.

Making consumers want to kill themselves or never visit their stores is not my idea of a sound marketing strategy.
