Guys: Why would a guy want to take salsa lessons from a girl?

I thought he wanted to bcv he wanted to learn, but a guy friend said he probably likes me. If he REALLY wanted to learn he'd ask a guy to teach him the manly moves, not the girl. His reasoning seemed a little... ignorant but yet made sense at the same time. What do you think?
I think he just wants to learn. I met him when i used to go to church, just havent spoken to him for a long time.
 
Most dance can be taught by a professional regardless of sex. Whether it's a male/female, if they know their stuff, it doesn't matter. A female instructor should know how to teach a partner the male role, and vice versa. I was taught the paso doble by a female instructor and she made sure I was "manly."
