Guys: If a girl asked you to dance, would you say no?

Okay, so there is a dance coming up for my school on Friday.

I'm a Freshman, and there's this guy I REALLY like. He's a senior. (Ugh, annoying, right?! haha)

Well, we are both going to be there because it's a jazz dance and we're both in the jazz band. I know him from sports, and have talked to him a couple of times, but not a ton or anything. He did add me on facebook. I'm not really ugly. People tell me I'm pretty but I don't want to say that I actually am because that seems egotistical!

So, should I just sort of like make eye contact and hang around him to show that I want to dance and hope he asks??
Should I ask him to dance?
If so, how should I do it?
I don't want to be weird and untraditional, but I'm thinking about asking him. Guys, would you refuse to dance with a girl that asked you?

just spit something out there when you meet him before the dance
something like "ill see you on the dancefloor" and smile
or like "i bet i can dance better than you" and ...
GRIND UP ON THAT HOE !

I would neither ask nor accept, I hate dancing! I would not be offended by a request though, and have been asked many times at parties before. Sometimes I've even gotten quite close to the girl asking, even though I've never danced.

After (mid twenties) I learned how to dance, I never turned down a girl if she asked to dance. I might not remain on the dance floor after the song and I might not ask her, but I couldn't decline even if she was God awful ugly. In my experience, girls don't ask more than once so that was never a problem.

The way I look at is that does me so little hurt and her so much good (as opposed to the harm of rejection) that it would be downright mean not to accept.
