and female authors that use their initials like s.e. hinton and j.k. rowling don't count (yes s.e. hinton was a woman). you have to know it's a female author by looking at the cover, and it can't be something everyone's read like harry potter.

Greetings! Sure, I have read many books written by women. Agatha Christie was one of my favorites. Currently I enjoy Sue Grafton, Janet Evanovich, Dian Mott Davidson.

For classics, few can beat Jane Austen. Also, Harriet Beecher Stowe created quite a stir (in fact very much helped start the Civil War) with her book, "Uncle Tom's Cabin".

In non-fiction, Jeanne Wakatsuki Houston wrote "Farewell To Manzanar" which is used in many School systems nationwide.

So yes, there are many women I have read. I have enjoyed them all.

Hope that helps you.

Melissa De La Cruz.......but sometimes her novels are just Too chick lit......blue bloods seemed a little less though....And Stephenie meyer i guess, though i only liked the first book....the rest where just crap...
