I've been thinking this for a while cause i cannot figure out what the hell happened.

If a guy wants to express something, do you prove it to others by verbally telling someone or actually doing something about it?

My guy friend (who formerly was my ex, we broke up 3 years ago, restarted our friendship for the past year and a half) is one of the most nicest guys you will ever meet. He's quite the gentleman and good-doer with bunch of pessimism. He's cynical and obsessive compulsive analyzer about everything. Lately... he's been acting weird, like weird-weird. Lemme show you what I mean:

Often I don't get to see him, but recently I've been seeing him more than once every season (winter, fall, summer, spring). Its kinda freaking me out because the last time we hung out, it was just a spur of the moment kind of thing and it felt very odd. We always do spur of the moment things, except its usually walking down the park, talking about life or grabbing a cup of coffee and talking.

Our last hang out consisted him paying for a $50 classy lunch, and going shopping cause I offered to buy him a new wallet in exchange for lunch and him driving us around (as usual). One thing I noticed was that he was dressier. Like he wore the cologne I love (but he hates), dress shirt with unbuttoned collar and black jeans with proper shoes. These are things I really go "gaga" for guys. Like classy but relaxed type of guy.

At the end of our hangout, I was so confused, he dropped me home and said "I'll see you next week". So what hell just happened?

Is he trying to say something more or am I reading wayyy too much into this?
