Guy who needs help on straightening hair?

Well im a guy, my hair is semi- curly and medium length i guess.... i would really like my hair to be straight for the hair style i like but have no idea how to do so.I have tried a flat iron but it hurt sooooo bad, it wasnt worth it...any tips on what kind or techniques to use so it wont hurt or anything i can get done my hair to make it straight? FLAT IRON is good man try it i think it works best
my hair is almost if not exactly like yours (i just dyed it black)
but my natural hair color is the one you have.
But yes use a flat iron or even better something that works amazing i mean AMAZING is the brazilian keratin treatment its exspensive at salons and stuff but i bought a 32oz of it which is like 12 treatments on my head for $230 (shipping included)
