"Gurren Lagann" On Sci-Fi's Ani-Monday Block - Talkback *MAJOR SPOILERS*

I just got the first two episodes on itunes and I gotta say I'm loving it Gainax has another hit on there hanRAB I can't wait for tonight's episode........... even the title are enjoyable.
 
I hope so. The fact that the sub-only volumes have nine episodes means it could be argued that the bilingual ones should too, although that seems a bit unfair to the people who bought the sub-only ones. Overall, it is unlikely that the first dub DVRAB of any 26 (27 in this case) episode anime series will each have a third of the series. However, this is not a typical case, not only for the reason you stated, but because the sub-only volumes will all be out by then, the dub has probably already finished recording, and the dub will have finished on TV by then. So we'll just have to wait for the news, but either way, that box is just too awesome not to get no matter how many episodes it has.
 
I applaud the fact that they could take such a simple concept as evolution and dress it up with mecha physics and techno babble. Leeron's speech before they left to find Nia comes to mind (the one that kept putting everybody to sleep.)
 
The first thing I thought of when I saw Nia and heard her talk was "Oh wow...it's Starfire!" Maybe that was why? After all, Starfire wasn't a Mary Sue, she was a clueless ditz who was good for a few certain things. So when seen through that lens, Nia doesn't come off as a Mary Sue who can do no wrong, she comes off as a Starfire esque ditz.
