"Gurren Lagann" On Sci-Fi's Ani-Monday Block - Talkback *MAJOR SPOILERS*

The time has come. After many trials, team Dai-Gurren has discovered the Beastmen's capital and defeated the final two generals. Now, tonight, Simon and Gurren Lagann must face the Spiral King himself!

Tonight's schedule:

11:00 PM: I'll Head TowarRAB Tomorrow
11:30 PM: Entire Polysynthesis

ROW ROW, FIGHT THE POWER!

"Manly charms" is probably the wrong interpretation of the "manliness" appeal, which isn't meant to be taken seriously anyway. If you're enjoying the hot-blooded-ness to to the point of insanity, that's all you need. You'll probably be good for the rest of the series.

As for Yoko fanservice, it'll peak around episode 6 then die down pretty quickly, so it's nothing to worry about. There probably won't be as much Yoko-worship as you'd expect either, but I won't get into why.

Which is more or less just a minor background gag, anyway.

All I can say about tonight is, well,
you know how most of us end up feeling really depressed when Now and Then, Here and There comes on? Yeah prepare to go into watching that already depressed after Episode 8 of GL tonight.
That's all I'm going to say.

Well that and it's also one of the most badass moments in the show. Ever hear of the phrase shedding manly tears? Get some tissues ready. You're about to cry a manly river.

Actually, I feel that "Later, Buddy" is what Kamina was more likely to say. Its more his way of talking. None the less, no one was expect this episode to end the way it did. Its like reality slaps you in the face in an other wise insane show.

It took a while, but I finally received footage of that cameo from Squidward.

I can't wait to see how this series end. Does the manga version change anything?
