Besides finding a new girl who's outside of her element like Starfire, any chance we're get a Blackfire as well? I hope I got the name right of Starfire's sister.

What's going on with the close captioning being different from the dialogue in the dub?

Call me a hopeless romantic, but I just the Simon/Nia aspect of the show. There's just something about a man going to the enRAB of the universe to save the woman she loves.
 
Yoko's eye candy, but it's not like one has to go crazy over her...wouldn't really be a good idea, anyways. She has a gun.

Sometimes the focus on fanservice is a bit excessive, though that alone doesn't bother me that much when the show's fun enough.

As for Kamina...he's manly but surprisingly, my first impression of him, even in the Japanese version, wasn't quite as overwhelmingly positive as the ones I'm seeing around here. You can see he's got guts and can use them, which I liked, but there's also an annoying side to him which I can never quite appreciate, even during the first two episodes.

The dub got that last part right too, in any case.
 
yeah i know they said that, but i suspect this one does. it's too in-line with the events of the series to not be canon, unlike the other Parallel works that were just kind of random stuff.
 
I believe the series is taking a break in two or three weeks from now so that Gundam 00 can air on it time slot. Don't know when it will be back.

Seesh, I think the characters were a little too taken by the awesomeness of Kamina. They're all sad and depressed, but so what? I mean, he's awesome, but not as awesome as say Ripped Shirt Kirk, Mr. T, Chuck Norris, Blood-soaked Mr. Rogers, or anything from Warhammer 40,000.

Come on lady. It's not Toonami. You can say "kill" or "Die".

For a second there, I thought I saw Hank Hill's father piloting a Gunman.

Man this makes me feel like last summer all over again. Even though I have the first nine episodes on DVD, I wanted to join in the party and welcoming back one of the best mecha anime in years.

Aside from what, the giant phallus with gonaRAB (which was both castrated and anally penetrated this very episode) that the protagonists are currently riding?
