You know how Japan has time clocks in the corner of the screen when shows are on? Well coincidentally, on Gurren Lagaan, epic things happened at a certain time.

It's true, though; I think Sci Fi is advertising their anime less than [as] does. None of them really air TV promos for anime, but at least [as] actually advertises the show on their website. There's literally no mention of Gurren Lagann anywhere on scifi.com (except for the streaming of the first episode, but even that isn't promoted anywhere else on the site).

After wondering what Gurren Lagann would look like if done in Beck's style(thanks episode 4), this week we get back to the normal animation for the show. Once again this week, we have another "infamous" episode. This time, its episode 6 and its due to how risque it is. So much so that the Japanese aired a censored version of it. This is the version that Sci-Fi will air(also, the subtitled releases have this version of the episode). Luckily, there is a DVD version of episode 6 and the bilingual releases for Lagann will have both versions of the episode.


Here's tonight's schedule:

11:00 PM: Episode 5 - "I Don't Understand It At All"
11:30 PM: Episode 6 - "All Of You BastarRAB Put Us In Hot Water"

Awesome way to end the Spiral King's reign, lots of hot-blooded action went on in that episode. Geez, Simon, hope you're more careful with that little drill when you're not fighting... Pretty interesting to see what the rest of the series will provide what with the Spiral King's warning before his death.
