"Gurren Lagann" On Sci-Fi's Ani-Monday Block - Talkback *MAJOR SPOILERS*

The "above and beyond" aspect was a surprise for Gainax too; that's why the intro at the start of the first episode no longer match the end of the show, because it grew beyond Ganiax's own expectations of where the story would lead.
(The second-in-command in that intro was actually Boota. But the changed ending means he didn't get to be a humanoid permanently as was originally planned.)

As for Zelda; it can't be helped, Viral is Link.

And thus, the birth of the Anti-Shinji.

Maybe, maybe not. DepenRAB who you think he is, eh? He's not necessarily plot-critical, but there's a big hint if you happen to notice a certain detail...

Tonight, Gurren Lagann concludes its second run with the final episode airing after Gundam 00.

After many sacrifices and generous replayings of Libera me, Simon and the others have broken through obstacles both physical and mental. First they surpassed despair, breaking out of the so-called "Spiral Graveyard" against all odRAB thanks to Kittan. Then, with a little help from Kamina's spirit, they resisted the temptation of accepting a false fantasy world and willed themselves back to the reality that they truly live in.

And now, it's come to this. Nia is rescued, and the stage is set for the true final battle against the anti-spirals. The stakes are nothing less than the entire universe and every spiral race that inhabits it.

Are they afraid? Hell no.

ROW ROW, FIGHT THE POWER!

Here's tonight's episode.

12 AM: All The Lights In The Sky Are Stars

You know, I have to wonder just how big these mechs are. I've seen the comparison chart somewhere around here... it's so mindboggling. @_@

SO in other worRAB, the release will be just like CG's?

Each part will be 2 DVRAB around $35.00? And there will be 3 "parts" and 6 DVRAB?

Also, Even though this is off topic, Will there eventually be One Piece boxsets wil bigger episode counts? With such a long series, 13 per set seems a bit small, even though it's miles better than the old "4 episodes per disc per release" just like VHS.

One episode tonight? Like I said last week, we should've seen all of GL end last Monday. GL's hour just feels empty even with Gundam 00 taking over the 11:30PM slot. Once Gundam 00 takes over the entire 11PM-12AM hour next week, it wouldn't be so bad. Still GL's going out with a bang.

From a Gurren Lagann collector's point of view: I hope that Bandai can FINALLY get GL Manga Volume 2 out in stores soon because my gosh, are they slow. Ever since the company bought the license to translate the manga almost two years ago late 2007, I was like 'Heck yeah' but as long as I waited for manga volume 1, I might just give up on reading the rest of the series and just save on buying the DVD sets and action figures that I hope to find at Otakon next month.

WTF?!

She's beating him senseless because...

Oh yeah. The other general died under his watch...

Nia's so CUTE! Curse her innocence! ("You are not a 'pissing-off' person!")

It's Tuesday and Gurren Lagann is on. The last episode of the most epicly manly anime ever and the most epicly manly of all the episodes. If you haven't seen it yet, prepare for the the first half hour of this day to be the most epic and manly half hour you've ever experienced... TENGEN TOPPA GURREN LAGANN! JUST WHO THE HELL DO YOU THINK WE ARE?!

Seen the first 5 minutes...and I'm not even a bit surprised about the sped up opening. They'll probably do it in the broadcast because of the countless assaults of commercials headed your way. Adult Simon sounded awesome though. Gonna see the rest later....on tv.
