"Gurren Lagann" on Hulu & YouTube Talkback (Spoilers)

I feel like Gainax wouldn't have regained their stature if they just cranked out a run of the mill "loose" show. I don't think people realize that for all their hype, they'd been on something of a mini losing streak before Gurren Lagann. With GL, they've been able to get back out of Evangelion's shadow somewhat.

Although I did like KareKano and Petite Princess Yucie a lot. Mahoromatic, Ugly/Beautiful World not very much, He is my Master not at all, and was just "meh" on FLCL and Abenobashi.

I still haven't seen Gunbuster 2. I really wish Bandai would re-release that in a cheaper form now that BV has been re-absorbed back into BE.

Ah, I remeraber that Q&A.
[xspoilerx="Seriously, spoiler"]It was so close that it actually explains a few things about the final product, such as the ending's deviation from the first episode's opening and the visuals of episode 4.[/xspoilerx]

Gainax isn't loose with their writing and this proves it. The final product would have been a lot more disjointed, reserabling the shows they intended to reconstruct rather than truly reconstructing the genre.
