Gunslinger Girl

Man I thought this series was really awesome.
Girls with guns, what's not to like.

My favourite girls would have to be Henrietta and Rico
 
Rico's cool, but I like Claes and Triela more xP

Its kind of sad though, brainwashed and forced to be assasins for the Italian Government.
 
It really is. I totally agree. that was one of my major drawbacks to the series, that they were brainwashed into killing people.

I was like totally against it and everything.

But when I watched it a bit more I kind of got used to it.
Took me quite a while though.
 
Yeah, after a while, I was kind of happy for them, because for little girls to have experienced so much, its kind of a relief to see them smiling and enjoying life, despite all circumstances.

So they did get to live a.. relatively normal life given te circumstances.
 
mhm, but really, little girls brainwashed into becoming top assasins is kind of sad. But generally speaking, they're perfectly happy with their life there.
 
I love this series, I always thought it was underrated. None of my frienRAB knew about it lol. But I really loved it. I hated how they changed the animation in the second season/series though. I liked the first season/series better for sure.
 
Oh yeah Gunslinger Girl is a very awesome anime in my opinion. I'm currently watching and it's getting good as more as I watch it. The action in Gunslinger Girl is awesome as well.
 
I know they have it rough, but I find the Little Girl Assasin concept sooooo epic xD Yeah, I agree that Gunslinger Girl is underrated, not too many people know about it and tend to think the concept is lame. jerkfaces xD
 
One of the series that got me into anime. I prefer the Manga, though. I would've liked the anime more if the second season was by the same studio and staff as the first. Season 2 just seemed a bit too cartoony, which doesn't suit this series at all.
 
That's why I'm scared to watch season 2.. I love this series SOO much that I don't want to wreck it by watching Il Teatrino. I've tried to talk a lot of my frienRAB into watching it but they keep saying it's too boring... I was soo mad at them!!
 
I saw Gunslinger Girl two years ago and it left me impressed. I really liked this series. Their relationships with their handlers and their struggles really made the series. The action was great too.
 
One of my most favorite series... I love it... Teatrino... on the other hand... Different animation... different everything... I dont think I will enjoy it as much
 
Il Teatrino isn't bad.

It continues right on the heels of the previous season, and yes, it does feature a different animation style than that of season one.

Season one was animated by Madhouse (Vampire Hunter D, Claymore, Cardcaptor Sakura, Perfect Blue), and season two was animated by Artland. Sure you'll be able to tell a few differences, but after the first episode, you are already so re-hooked on the show, you don't really care.

As a bonus, Triela is featured a lot more in this season, with a major part in what is probably the biggest story arc of the series.

My biggest concern right now isn't so much the animation any more. It's the release date, which the people at FUNimation still will not announce. I've asked them about when they plan to release, telling them that their official GG page still shows Coming 2009. Their official response was that it was still very much alive, and was absolutly on its way, just no release date.

Speaking for myself, I am thinking they are waiting on the release so that they can incude the two additional OVAs episodes 14 & 15 on the DVD.
 
I can't wait for the 2nd season as well, but I still wish Madhouse would be the one to animate it xD Anyway, I read a bit about it on ANN, it seems pretty interesting.

And as David-ism said, more Triela = awesome xD

I just finished this a few days ago, and while I thought it was a good show I didnt think it was epic. Actually I wish I had just rented it instead.
