Guns law debate for california?

i need three facts for each why it should be banded in california and why it shouldn't and why it should be this way. Also i need three counter arguments.

so basically i need 3 good/bad reasons why it should be illegal or legal. and why and stuff.

(so far i got) guns kill people
my argument would be everyday people are dieing from cars, planes, baseball bats and etc. Are you going to band those too? Also did you know every second someone dies because of a car accident. are you going to band that too?

also i got ( why should we need guns when cops are here to protect us.) my argument would be police are not suppose to protect us unless then see you in danger. according to amendment ( i don't know but can you help me find this amendment) police cannot get sewed if you dial 911 and they do not get there on time to protect you.

thats all i got so far. please help me with more arugments on both side and list how to defend that arguement or go against that arguemtn please thanks
 
The 2nd Amendment to the Constitution says we can...end of story.
Guns kill people like cars get drunk.
States that allow carry concealed have consistently shown a drop in serious crimes.
The police are there to fill out reports on criminal activity, therefore a crime must have already been committed or in the process of being committed before the police will get involved....so while you liberals are trying to convince the four time convicted rapists from doing your whole family, I'll be putting .40 caliber holes in the criminal at my house and we'll see who wakes up to the see the dawn.
