'Gundam Heroine Half Age Girls'....wha?

Very clearly these are a form of Chibi-fication as opposed to de-aging (I mean, come on, people, they're still modeled as fully developed women, merely with diminutive proportions) The full fault here is in the unfortunte Engrish title which people are taking to ridiculous ammounts of "worst case scenario".

I'm jsut glad painted prototype pics have surfaced to reduce the silly ammount "outrage". (I'm pretty sure if that name had not been revealed and we'd just gotted "hey look at these cuti-fied Gundam girls figures, there'd be nowhere near as much venom here)

I think it's important to keep in mind that both Bandai and Japanese society are no strangers to less than pleasent gimmicks. Especially in this era of 'Take the otakus' money and run, where no series seems to be safe from really creepy and exploitive merchandise. So the fact that this had some of us worried isn't really fair call to say 'You over concerned prudes'. Sunrise okays a ton of tacky, creepy spin oRAB and merchandise. So this isn't exactly folks jumping to conclusions.

It was meant to be an over-exaggeration, as in, they must think a lot of people would want this in order to go through the trouble of making them. But yeah, at times they do seem like the masses, at least to me they do. On certain subjects I can be quite the pessimist though.

I second that they look more chibi than loli opinion. Painted, they seem more cute than sexualized. The paint jobs seem a bit sketchy on the quality tip though.

...Yeah, people are taking the "Half Age" title a little too seriously. It strikes me more as a poor use of English rather than anything fetishy. The figures look like they're meant to look fully clothed once painted, no fake little girls are being sexualized, and the characters still have their 'dignity' intact. It's just harmless and cute. I think everyone's just on edge from recent happenings.

Yeah, they're adorable. Why wouldn't a lot of people want them? I think in all the recent "Ew, damn it Japan!" controversy, people have forgotten that they also have an obsession with all things cute.

I have a strong distaste for lolicon, moe & other anime fetish material and I'm in 100% agreement. The description in the original pic says they're "cute, half-deformed" figures.

The funny bit in there is the note about the line's name being abbreviated HAG.
