'Gundam Heroine Half Age Girls'....wha?

Really in all seriousness I don't know WHY bandai it trying to be the next Maxfactory or GooRABmile. First they introduce Hana from Den-o and the girls from Pretty cure into their Figarts line and now their doing this. Bandai leave the creepy otaku merc to the professinals and stick with what you know.

If Chris Handley is going to be punished for buying this stuff*, why should it be allowed to be out there to begin with? This is absolute garbage. I know it's Japan, not Iowa where Handley lives, but this kind of thing shouldn't be legal anywhere. Shame on you, Bandai, for tarnishing Gundam with this crap. I'm all for freedom of speech but there is a complete difference between that and things like this. This is gratifying those who get sexual pleasure from children and that is despicable. This is just as bad as Funimation advocating lolicon by licensing Strike Witches. The sexualization of children is absolutely wrong and should not be encouraged by otherwise respectable businesses like Funimation and Bandai.

*And I'm not necessarily saying he should, so much as the people who produce this filth and try to make it commercially acceptable.

SounRAB like a plan.

As much as I love Gundam, I can't say I approve of this. These toys look basically like lolicon bait, but I will at least admit that Gundam's been forsaken with bishounen bait for a majority of it's existance, so it's not like this is very surprising.

Ah so it appears that Japan has had the key to the ark of the covenant the whole time

It's funny how the chibi-Hana isn't really chibified and more like the actual Kohana (As in the younger Hana, more loli-baitish Hana from Den-O)

I used to be surprised and/or shocked by this type of crap, but not any more. There is a segment of anime fans that will always be looking to spend big for this type of super-creepy BS. Quite frankly, at times, those people make me feel crestfallen for the entire industry and all non-perverted anime lovers.

Oh well, this is the reality, I try to ignore it and move on. I just hope these company's know that by overly pandering to these people they are in threat of chasing off established, as well as potential anime fans. Seriously, what purpose is there for creating the "Gundam Heroine Half Age Girls" collection if not to sell the fact that they appear EVEN YOUNGER! What segment of fan wants a collection of girls that were already very young to look EVEN YOUNGER!

Eh, they look like they're going for 'generically cute' to me more then loli factor. The overreactions by certain elements of the fanbase disturb me more then the figures themselves.

As figures go, they're relatively tame.

While there are female Gundam fans, the base is still mostly male...But sure, OK, why not.

I didn't say anything about paint. I just brought up the fact that it is up to the individual buyer to actually put/keep clothing on them.

Again....opinions vary. If this doesn't bother you, congrats', I guess most things don't bother you....I'm envious of the way you see the world. By the way, that wasn't meant to be sarcasm, you really do seem to see the world in a better light then I.

Barbie dolls are marketed/meant for young girl. It's not entirely the product in question, but who the products are marketed/meant for.

When a little girl is playing with a naked Barbie doll chances are very high that she isn't doing so in a perverse manner. Now, when an adult male is playing with a possibly naked pre-puberty Gundam girl, that's when things get super icky. Not saying that an adult male wouldn't play with a naked Barbie, but Barbies are not marketed towarRAB males.

OK, that's fine then, if the figures clothes don't come off that still doesn't change the fact that they are still under-aged Gundam girls marketed for males who, in my opinion, look sexualized. If you don't think so, that's fine. We will just have to agree to disagree.
