Guitarist!! Help needed ASP!?

I know how to play the guitar but when I want to play songs that are played on the radio and stuff i just can't find the beat. Like when to strum the strings. Its frustrating not knowing!
 
I'm not exactly a guitarist guitarist, but I play piano and bass, and I know what you're talking about. It's an aquired talent that some people have problems with at first, but your musical ear will get better :)
