Guitar electronics help!!?

I am going to make a guitar for a school project and i plan to add a feature that allows me to plug headhopnes straight into the guitar. I planned to do this with a vox amplug intergrated into the guitar. i was wondering if i could connect this straight into the circuit somehow, any help??

I have electric bases that I can do that without your whatchamacallit built in.

They make headphone amps, so you could get one and strip the guts of it to solder into a secondary (controlled by a switch, like a two way switch) output.
