"Guin Saga" Talkback (Spoilers)

ep 8, so............. Guin dint have to do a dam thing to find those Lagon, he was lead there by fate and or some mysterious magical force (who knows?, probably that Janos weaver of fate guy mentioned in that summary from somewhere), kind of cheap if you ask me, though cool in an epic fantasy-like way.

anyway, mercenary looks like the old guys kid eh?, seeing the type of show that this is, this probably is no coincidence. Il make some predictions now, i say he gets caught, because hes acting way too "let me at em!!!" and all jumpy and asking lots of questions (never good), then the old guy lets him go cause he realizes some relation (hes his grandchild or something) or just cause he cant let a guy who looks like his kid die or something like that.

Old guy glaring at princess washing her hair was lol, "stop wasting our water............".

\me no like the cliffhanger though, but did you see that spear guy, he was a huge as Guin!!.
 
Guin Saga is a great anime and the story has been fantastic, but I am wondering when Guin is going to run into a challange? Every one on one battle he has been in he has won with great ease, he never seems to have a hard time taking on an enemy and the fight is usualy over within a matter of a minute or so, it's cool but it seems strange. I am hoping over the next few episodes that he finally runs into someone who can give him a run for his money in a straight up sword fight or one on one corabat, it would give both him and his opponent some depth.
 
I feel that whole scene with the old man burning and the betrayal was kind of anti climactic, i mean i thought for sure that whole "you look like my kid, your the same age as him" and all that would actually lead to something, and also that the old man would be more of a major character and his end would be more...... grand? (in a huge battle or something).

I still found it funny how he was yelling all about "Curse your name El of Agon, the name El of Agon will be the enemy of the Mongul forever!!", you know, since "El of Agon" doesnt technicaly exist... (i doubt the mercenary will use that name again).
 
I've been pretty quiet but yes, I have been following Guin Saga still. A few notes:

There will be 26 episodes after all, obviously, not 13 like I once feared. On top of that, at Anime Expo Aniplex said that they're willing to make more if it does well. Here's hoping.The show has been reasonably good so far. Not really great, but it was pretty cool to see the campaign end with Guin leading the Lagon to battle. I can agree that Guin's power is overwhelming to the point that some suspense is lost, but I still like the general way the story has gone.What is with Remus' visions in episode 12? Weird.I really like the new story arc that has gotten going. After 10-11 episodes of escaping constant peril and then a big war, we've moved on to a fresh quest on Guin's part and plenty of intrigue elsewhere. The arranged marriage between Naris and Amnelis, how Naris might turn things to his advantage, the tension between the black and white knights of Mongaul...interesting. I have to admit, Aldo Naris is more interesting than the twins right now.It's not Lodoss, but I like it. This really should get licensed.
 
so i caught episode 17, im liking Marius more and more, screw Parros and Naris, killing the kid just isn't right, i dint think hed suggest killing Vlad instead, but that was pretty cool, that being said, im pretty sure Marius is destined to die, dead man walking.

there's so much treachery discussed this ep, its got me anticipating big things, you think itl ever come down to Naris and Remus fighting for the Parros thrown?

Astrias is the biggest tool in the series.

and that hairstyle Amnelis had at the end of the episode was horrible.
 
I'm loving the ever-deepening intrigue and intersecting conflicts that are going on, it's great stuff. It's clearly rather well thought out in advance. The one downside is Remus; I still haven't figured out what the deal is with what changed him.
 
Lol, episode 19, the progression of time in this episode was quick, that was pretty fast how with a mere 2 requests Remus got that king so impressed that he just hanRAB over his daughter to him, i think it was only like 6 minutes into the episode. They leave and arrive in Argos by halfway through the episode too, i guess a should take that as "their going to wrap it up the series soon so its speeding up".

Anyway, with that whole declaration of Remus being the legit king of Parros and all, i can see him having to cross sworRAB with Naris eventually, while the twins fates were unknown it seemed Naris has been setting himself up to become king, he probably wont give it all up just cause Remus is back.

I wonder who the string woman who is looking for Guin is....

But that scene with Naris dressed up like a woman and Kathron was confused about who he was is ridiculous, its so obvious it was him i cant believe that Kathron couldn't recognize him the moment he saw him (wasn't he thinking about Naris a few moments before, that should've helped), its like Clark kent going into disguise by taking of his glasses, Naris could've at least dyed his hair or put fruits in his chest (to look like hes got breasts) or something, but nope, he just puts on some lipstick and nobody knows its him.
 
So, i have just watched the last episode. As i expected it was rather open ended, very open ended. Remus is implied to be going down the path of darkness. Istovan is getting really arabitious with the king thing and swears to defeat Guin eventually, which i may add, for no legitimately good reason whatsoever, Guin is no threat to him, he just wants to find out who he is, even promised hed help him eventually. Rinda is alone, & Naris is probably planing to take Remu's position as king eventually, what with his "Jarn giveth and Jarn taketh away line". Even Amnelis is all "they cant keep me down,il persevere cause im the princes of light".

Yeah, so it was open ended, i do hope they make more episodes, but seeing as how the author of the novels died, an ending may never actually happen, i already spoiled myself on some details too (lets just tragedy runs deep in this series), but its so incomplete, INCOMPLETE!!

Anyway, it was a fun ride, kind of started winding down in the last 2eps, i expected the finale to be epic, but it was more of a "this is only the begining" type ending, which only anoys me seeing as how il probably never know the end.

There wasnt enough Guin towarRAB the end either, this is Guin Saga,but it felt more like the Paros liberation saga staring Naris &n Remus with Guin's minor assasin adventure on the side, lol.
