Guilty plessure theme songs

What are you guilty plessure theme songs? Particular if it is from a show that is not considered cool for your demographic? Or just a song considered lame the populist?

Let me start.

My Little Pony (Ending 1) - I never liked the show itself. I couldn't stand it and still do. But as shame as it maybe, I liked the first ending theme. Which was an instrumental version of the opening theme song, which I couldn't stand either. But take away the lame lyrics, and add some beautiful classical instruments, it was catchy.

Pokemon: Adventures On The Orange Island (English Opening) - a theme song that I shouldn't like, but I couldn't help but like. The show itself, I thought it was a good show back in the day, and I still admit that. This is strictly guilty plessure because of the theme song itself, not the show like MLP.

Well i like a lot of themes. I don't know which shows i like the themes from are considered 'lame' though although i like Pigeon Boy and it's theme and most people seem to hate that show.

The Roman Holidays - Like just about everything Hanna-Barbera produced in the seventies, the show was terrible, but boy is the theme song catchy.

What's New Scooby-Doo-- I've never been a fan of Scooby-Doo, even when CN played the first series back in the day almost all the time, but I just find this opening so darn catchy that I find myself just watching the show to hear it again. That and I'm usually bored in the mornings anyway.

That theme for Sonic X, I don't like the show but I do enjoy the English Dub's theme song, even though I prefer "Sonic Drive" over that.

The Drinky Crow Show (opening theme) - I was indifferent to the show, but the theme song (performed by They Might Be Giants) was downright infectious. I still find myself humming it from time to time.

That would pretty much be every cartoon ever for me.

But I guess I enjoy a lot of 4Kid's theme songs.

Chillin' out with the crew in the school yard...

Well, I do like the FOP theme song. Very bouncy and fun. (As we all know, FOP isn't quite so cool anymore).

I recently saw a video of Freakazoid, and I like the theme song for that show too. It actually has kind of the same type of music - very jazzy. It didn't last long on TV, as I understand it, so I suppose it wasn't that popular, and therefore qualifies for this topic.

I liked the World of Quest theme song, though mostly for the animation that accompanied it.

I wasn't aware that The Charlie Brown and Snoopy Show was poorly received. Most people I've spoken to remember the show fondly. The show's animation was a bit clunky at times, but one of Schulz's complaints about the series was that it was lot of work, more than he and his animators were used to.

I don't think Charlie Brown & Snoopy was popular compared to other comic strip based cartoons (Heathcliff, Garfield & Friends, etc), but I don't think it was poorly receieved, just a victim of bad scheduling on CBS's schedule. I remember it just having a really short run then disappearing completely.

My Friends (who are BIG Peanuts fans) hated it because it used Jokes from the strip. Plus, like you said, the amount of work that goes into the Animation was a bit to much for Schulz; all of which leads to the animation and Voices (yes, I'm aware Kids did the Voices.) looking and sounding bad. He probably should of Stuck with Mini series'.

I didnt Mind CB&SH. It had a good run, but doesn't stand up compared to A Charlie Brown Christmas, Thanks Giving, Halloween, ect.

"Don't say 'lazy'" from the K-On anime. It's a show about a bunch of teenage girls that form a band. My friends got me into it, but I still consider it guilty because of what certain standpoints would think. I'm too self-conscious I guess.

The Pound Puppie's second season theme song. S2 was a real step down in quality thanks to executive meddling (which is also what destroyed The Real Ghostbusters), but the theme song for that season was really catchy.

That was Schulz's idea. Apparently, CBS had been trying to persuade Schulz to do a Charlie Brown series for years, but one of the reasons that he balked on the idea for so long was because he didn't want other people writing for it, for fear that outside writers would take the show and his characters in directions which didn't want them to go. His solution was to just recycle his comic strips for television.

Anyway, to get back on point: I liked the first Ewoks theme from ABC's Ewoks/Droids Adventure Hour. (The first season, not All-New Ewoks.) The show kind of bored me, honestly, but that theme song was rockin'.

I still hum from time to time the Rocket Robin Hood, 1967 Spider-man theme, Goldorak(Grendizer), Wayside, Albator 79 (Captain Harlock), Total Drama Island/Action, Totally Spies themes songs.
