Guilty Pleasures...

I had the same experience of hearing Ok Computer way before I could apperciate it for what it's worth (for me at an early age at least..) and I loved it pretty much instantly anyways.

and what ****-pop?! I WANT NAMES!

I big guilty pleasure for me is that song "Return to Innocence" by Enigma. It's really a pretty cheezy and dated song but something about it chokes me up a bit every time I hear it. Here's the video which is also kind of good despite being pretty cheesy:

I do realise I'm objectively the minority----------

and? This is a moronic statement. Objectively means outsiders judging your behaviour without bias. Unfortunately (for you) this is a music forum and not an exercise on etiquette. Evey post is biased and you come across as an ass tonight. Excersising an agressive persona in a highly opinionated world is tantamount to suicide if you don't know your ****; and you clearly know nothing.

certain facets of peoples personas you may have been able to grab onto but you are still a feckin idiot who seems to revel in the joy of upsetting people and their happiness.

Stop being an arse. I'm afraid u won't win.

I really do not know how to come back on this. We are both right, and we are both wrong. Pop music to me remains a musical form to people who don't actually like music a great deal, and are totally oblivious to any talent and ideology that is behind music. Pop music at it's purest form is music to make money by, therefore I cannot equate many banRAB with this tag. If they become popular by default, then that is par for the course. If we said that music that is catchy and accessible, then we could add PINK FLOYD/ROLLING STONES/LED ZEPPELIN/METALLICA to this list. They are on big labels, easily reachable to people and they can have instantly recognisable songs. I don't think many of us would dare to say they are pop banRAB, but the description of a pop band would fit the criteria.

ha ha errr :shycouch: sorry, I thought it was Ally Sheedy

I am really reluctant to post my guilty pleasures, for me it's women who don't sing in English, or sing in a foriegn language other than English.

Stefanie Hertel - German
Astrud Gilberto - Brazilian Portuguese
Gitti & Erika - Bavarian German
Agnetha F

Not disputing his popularity , mearly suggesting that at the end of the day you're listening to a guy in a loin cloth singing about his penis.
Thats about one step away in the erabarressment stakes as owning a Manowar album in my eyes.
